MEGAN BURKE
MANAGING PARTNER
Ideas can build a better world, or they can trap us in what we already have. I learned that from feminist and queer thinkers who critiqued the social norms we take as given and built ideas for how we might live otherwise. The social change they called for pulled me in, and I wanted to contribute to that work myself.
Over two decades, that meant three books, over twenty peer-reviewed articles, keynotes, co-founding fields of inquiry, and work featured in Ms. Magazine, the Advocate, and LGBTQ Nation.
What I bring to Visionary is the same thing philosophy trained me in: the ability to think deeply, to challenge paradigms, and to sit in one’s thinking until something new emerges. I do this work because social impact leaders are doing some of the most consequential thinking in the world right now, and they deserve a real thought partner for it.
